Sherman Questions VII

1. Cindy Sherman Untitled (Balenciaga), 2008
2. Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2007

Indeed, Sherman carefully picks the clothes that are depicted with her characters. And it is not by coincidence that six portraits solely feature head-to-toe Balenciaga - as they follow the invitation by Nicolas Ghesquière. In return, the Fall/Winter 2010 collection includes printed shirts and dresses featuring quotes appropriated from Sherman reviews and interviews published in art magazines.

Revival

Céline Fall/Winter 2010, Fall/Winter 1978, Fall/Winter 1975 & Spring/Summer 1970

Career, yes, but not at any price. Céline successively defined a new kind of woman, the Gentlewoman. A process of such genuinity that no one has really noticed 40 years passing. What date do we have?

It's A Sin

Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2008

I haven't shown it yet, so it's time to look back (can be good sometimes) and pay homage to Stefano Pilati and his achievements for YSL. Sheer blouses, wide high-waisted trousers, male severeness, constructed silhouettes.
