Sherman Questions III

1. Cindy Sherman Untitled #225, 1990
2. Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2007

One example of incorporating fake body parts and creating a moment of exhibitionist shock. In this regard, Sherman does not only quote the iconic image of Virgin with Child, she also appears close to Jean Paul Gaultier and his skin flashing runway moments. Not rarely quoting symbols of religion and holiness. By offering her right breast and wearing the black lace of a sinful widow, Sherman is bearing the cross.

A Short History Of The Bandeau Top In Popular Culture

1. Prada Lookbook Spring/Summer 2009
2. Salvador Dali Venus de Milo with drawers, 1916
3. Tamara de Lempicka La Chemise Rose, 1933
4. Prada Spring/Summer 2001, Fall/Winter 2006, Spring/Summer 2009 & Spring/Summer 2012

An embrace of the feminine figure, the voluptuous form. Just like a Petrarchan sonnet, Miuccia's bandeau caresses the woman's firm breasts, articulating admiration for the sensitive and untouched. A signature idea that secretely strives for mainstream acceptance.

Boobarella

2. Hans Arp sculpture

From lederhosen to dirndl. From leather pants to leather shell bras. i guess I'll just have to accept the fact that I like leather in any context. Luckily I can compensate this with my appetite for art.

Verlangen

The tension between lust and disguised sexuality provoked me to compose these contradictory and yet congruent images. Both marked by the gesture of surprise.

Explicit Structure

Who would've thought my beloved Brigitte has somthing in common with Linda and Christy? I know exactly why I am wearing my super bleached Brigitte Nielsen memorial blonde. She is just unreachable high and deserves admiration. Believe me.

A Discourse: The 90s Woman Pt.II

Top British Vogue, October 1991 by Ellen von Unwerth
Bottom Harper's Bazaar, June 1999 by Nathaniel Goldberg

Taking away what is not needed. Keeping it simple and strong. This is minimalism. This is the 90s. And if that means cutting a hole in a dress and showing your breast, this is absolutely acceptable, right? Yes, it is!
