Balenciaga Questions XVI

1. Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2012
2. J.W. Anderson Fall/Winter 2012

Back to London. J.W. Anderson chose s silhouette reminescent of an almost religious Balenciaga woman, altering between witch, high priestess and apocalyptic nun. Her eyes hidden, her robe created of hyper technologic fabrics.

Kiss

J.W. Anderson Fall/Winter 2011

This collection was made to be loved by me. And we all'll have to wrap ourselves in fluffy knitwear. Caressing our New Bohemian tip-to-toe paisley uniform. Completed by a contrasting rubber band cummerbund.

Veil Skirts

Top Comme des Garçons Fall/Winter 1993
Bottom Givenchy, Richard Nicoll, Damir Doma, Rag & Bone, J.W. Anderson, Richard Chai Spring/Summer 2011

We've been confronted with an armada of veil skirts for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. Please note that I find them wonderful, pleasing and intriguing. But I somehow question their originality. Especially when I compare 1993 Comme des Garçons with 2011 Givenchy. I expected more.

The Victim

JW Anderson Fall/Winter 2010

While his spring collection convinced due to its play with trousers, skirts and their proportions, this season is all about hiking appeal. Outdoor jackets, backpacks, heavy knitwear. The man confronted with raw nature. Sexualized with worship-worthy boots and masochistic leather necklaces.

Positive Thinking

J.W. Anderson Spring/Summer 2009

Definitely some of the nicest summer looks. Wide high-waisted trousers, see-through shirts, knitted tank tops, martial accessories. I feel sand and sandals on my feet. I want ice cream.

Cross-Dressing

J.W. Anderson Fall/Winter 2009

I actually think this works. It's unseen and unsought. Roll neck meets body suit perfectly enhanced by knee-highs. Men should think about it, may it be as leisure wear.

Im down on my knees, I wanna take you there
