Disk Warriors

1. Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2000 & Spring/Summer 2010
2. Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2010 & Unknown
3. Jil Sander Spring/Summer 1998 & Spring/Summer 2006

Jil Sander and the shape. The circle and the irregular square. It has happened before and it will happen again. Just as the shape itself, it's a recurrent element that I dare to foresee in the upcoming collections.

Ink Survey

Photos Unknown, Hedi Slimane, Ignazio Lozano

As long as I don't hear any protest, the promotion of war painted bodies will proceed. I am curious: Who really is tattooed? Whose skin is showing indigenous artworks? Whose back is decorated by a slag tag?

War Paint Fight

Acne Fall/Winter 2010 vs. Iroquois

Ethnic futursim and Klingon references. I would have recommended to add some lip implant metal accessories by Husam El Odeh to complete the styling. Otherwise, the Acne space odyssey is quite something.

Trauma

Ann Demeulemeester Spring/Summer 2010

Ok, so now I have to get personal: When I was a little boy, I draw my wedding outfit. And well, this is exactly what Ann designed for Spring/Summer 2010. The chain harness wasn't included in my sketches back in the days but it's a nice addition, non?

P.S.: And finally a collection that looks like summer.

Primary Instinct

Rozalb de Mura Spring/Summer 2009

The fight has been fought. In a pugnacious act of bravery, Romanian designer Olah Gyarfas created the armour of future men. Protecting against ennui/vacuity and melting Transylvanian tradition with contemporary silhouettes. Architectural, minimal and yet flamboyant.

Sequel: Sorry for being a bit kitschy once more. I just felt reminded of this fabulous cover of Amanda Lear. She has great potential to become the leader of the Rozalb de Mura tribe...

Urban warriors

Modern slim cuts and silhouettes. Classic fabrics and tailoring. Masks and a martial look. Men are men at Jeroen Van Tuyl.

Jeroen Van Tuyl Fall/Winter 2007

I'm so anxious to see his Fall/Winter 2008 collection...
