Horst Decoration, Issue 5

1. Marble chair Marc Newson, Prickly Lamp Lucy McRae
2. Plexiglass table Pierre Cardin, Painting Alberto Abate
3. Chain carpet Adrien Rovero

Welcome to my irrational dream home. Where gravitation is inexistent and proportions are abandoned. A 4-dimensional place occupied by flying chain rugs and supersized furniture insects. Visitors become surrealist paintings once they find themselves lost within the myriad corridors and staircases.

Post Paris II

A false encyclopaedic guide to the prêt-à-porter collections for Spring/Summer 2012.
Second chapter: Céline

1. Céline Spring/Summer 2012
2. Sand Paper
3. Versailles inspired carpet

Plywood seating and the smell of freshly manipulated wood. While the rough surface of sand paper softens its edges, the crispy structure reappears as 3D carpet ornaments on hourglass-shaped coats. Click on the runway image for closer inspection.

Nuclear Whiteness

Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2012

Once ahead our time... when we live in underground bunkers, artificial brutalist spaces made of concrete, furnished with leather and Persian carpets. Sleeveless will become the uniform. Tribal tattoos will indicate the social rank.

Carpet Ride

Design Wendy Plomp

Cardboard carpets, I have to say 'I die!'. So unpretentious, decent and adorably unpolished. I love the roughness and imagine it to be perfect in adding industrial coziness to my concrete floor phantasies.

Sausage Weekend

Lynn & Horst present: Wurstteppich (Sausage Carpet)
A truly thrilling interpretation of German coziness. An attractive fusion of sausage and rug. "Give us sausages! Let us celebrate luxury in our living rooms. Because sausage is too beautiful to just be eaten", proclaims the cologne avantgarde designer.

And never forget : Alles hat ein Ende nur die Wurst hat zwei.
