Post Paris XV

A false encyclopaedic guide to the menswear collections, presenting:
Issey Miyake Fall/Winter 2012

1. Heather and Ivan Morison Black Pig Lodge, 2011
2. Michael Jackson feat. Janet Jackson Scream, 1995
3. Jean Tinguely Relief Méta-Mécanique Sonore II, 1955

A collection that succeeds where others fail. The programmatic approach to texture manipulation results in a 3D pyramid layer created of multiple triangles that partly protrude with each movement and reflect not only light but aesthetic history.

Balenciaga Questions IV

1. Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2004
2. Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2008

Raf Simons undoubtedly shows apprecciation for Nicolas Ghesquière. Wouldn't these two make a beautiful couple, respectively team? Simons x Ghesquière. Wouldn't it be nice?

Complicated/Simple

Natsumi Zama LCF BA Graduate Collection 2009

Interlaced layers creating structured yet plain shapes, torn between stiffness and smoothness. Pieces reminiscent of military filt blanket origami. Complemented by a beautiful colour palette of muddy greys and greens.

Folded Paper Fight

Frankie Morello Fall/Winter 2009 vs. Gallery installation

Strikingly reminding of an old children's game: Heaven or hell. But also evoking connotations of a vagina installation.
