Forbidden Smell

Comme des Garçons Series 6: Synthetic

They are finally back: socially incorrect fragrances based on man-made places and materials of daily life. My left wrist still smells like 'Garage' and my right wrist like 'Tar'. A mix of lauriel aldehyde, traces of kerosene, leather notes, plastic floral notes, vetiver acetate and chinese cedar wood.

A Short History Of Manga In Popular Culture

1. Dripping Lazers Graduate Collection
2. La Blue Girl
3. Self Service Magazine

I strongly believe in the comeback of Manga and will further explore its use in contemporary art and fashion. Most probably, 'sexualization' will become a core motif. In the first instance, I'd like to draw your attention to the reanimation of Anime by Dripping Lazers.

Anti-C-Portion

Spastor October 2001

Spastor is back. Back to start. Hopefully with menswear, too. Vague, crispy, blurred and sexual. A dive into the archive. Forgotten names, reloaded memories. Keep me updated.

Bootylicious II

Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2012

With its haptic, optically challenging 3D structure, the original Fall/Winter 2008 version became my dearest everyday uniform. Now, the Raf Simons running shoe returns. It has been wishfully awaited.

The Craft V

1. Dries van Noten Fall/Winter 2012
2. Moschino Fall/Winter 2012

I am a little bit in love with the fact that my projections turned out quite right. Two examples of re-establishing graffiti, and oneself. A splendid specimen of crafted naïvety. Congratulation to Gijs Frieling.

Pierced Souls

Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2009

When an idea of 1990s youth culture is reborn and reshaped. Thin, elongated and richly embellished with crystals and pearls. Instable, light structures that reawaken the desire for belly piercings.

Overhead

1. Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2001, Prada Fall/Winter 2011 & Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2002
2. Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2011 & Gucci Spring/Summer 1995
3. Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2002
4. Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2011 & Alex Katz The Blue Umbrella
4. Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2005 & Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 1990

I've kept it to myself for quite a while now, but the psychological pressure got too intense. I cannot deny nor hold it back any longer. The hood is back. Floral paisley for her, apocalyptic protection for him.

Steel On Steel II

1. Markus Pritzi for Tush
2. Jake Cooper
3. Josefien Rodermans by Naomi Yang for Vogue Taiwan

It might be time for a return to the piercing. There are several options. Several placement possibilities. Some of them have already existed on myself. Do you think it's time to return to the piercing?

Girl Panic

Duran Duran - Girl Panic! 2011

Fashion with a capital F. Hardcore product placement. Schizophrenic supermodels. Jonas Åkerlund has combined the über-kitsch and mega-decadent. Pop. And everything is alright.

Ex-Post Integration

Hooded shirt Raf Simons
Leopard top Givenchy
Trousers Laitinen
Shoes Doc Martens

We will do it again. Sleeve under rolled-up sleeve. Hoodie under shirt. My system did not allow it. The option was completely banned. Until now. And it feels better than before.

Careless Whisper

Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2006

Rumours abound that Miu Miu menswear will return. We embrace this speculation with sleeveless arms. And we are looking forward to ugly beautiful footwear, ironic prints and pre-Prada sentiments.

Cyberdog

Magazine The Face, August 1993

One might have already noticed a certain fascination for tribal tattoos. But a Horst knows no mercy. And he wants it all. He wants it back. Here and now. What am I talking about? Piercings and techno grunge fetish wear.
